Watching the Clouds Go By
It's easy to get caught up in day-to-day life - there's a lot going on! Work, emails, kids, dogs, Facebook, smartphones... we are more connected than ever before, and the trend is not going to reverse course any time soon. With this constant connection, those of us in the Financial Services industry and many investors out there tend to watch and feel every bit of volatility the market has to offer.
No doubt the benefits of modern technology and conveniences are numerous, but all of these technologies force our brains to work overtime. Although I wasn't around 100 years ago, I imagine people got more rest, they were more relaxed, and studies have shown they were happier too (I'm sure the difficulty of measuring "happiness" is quite high, but nonetheless). With that in mind, we attach the following link to our blog this week:

So please, be thankful for the infinite powers of technology, but also take an opportunity to disconnect and "turn off" every once in awhile.
